The race of life isn’t what you think it is. In fact, it usually isn’t a race at all; we turn it into one so we can be the first and the best. And when we aren’t, we feel bad. (I have spent most of my life doing this).
My wife and I walked in a park near our home for years. We would watch people bike and run and see the stress and anxiety when they were passed by someone faster.
But this park was one big loop; no one would get anywhere faster than anyone else. We all ended up in the same parking lot.
Are you turning aspects of your life into a race when it isn’t a race at all?
